This Privacy Policy explains how FIAD may collect, use, store, and handle personal information when you use FIAD.DEV or participate in FIAD applications, cohorts, assessments, or related opportunities.
1. Information We May Collect
Account information: name, email address, authentication information
Professional information: resume/CV, education, professional experience, skills, areas of expertise, language capabilities, portfolio or professional links
Application information: application responses, cohort preferences, relevant experience descriptions, supporting information, documents (resumes, supporting documents, relevant professional evidence)
Assessment information: assessment responses, assessment outcomes, relevant evaluation information
Technical information: IP address, browser information, device information, session information, security-related logs
2. Why We Process Information
To create and manage accounts, review applications, administer cohorts, assess relevant capabilities, communicate with users, consider experts for relevant opportunities, maintain platform security, improve FIAD's services, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
3. Automated Processing and AI-Assisted Tools
FIAD may use technology-assisted tools to help process information, including extracting or organising relevant information from resumes and other submitted documents, to make the application-review process more efficient. FIAD does not rely solely on automated processing for approval decisions — every application is reviewed by a human administrator before approval.
4. How We Use Your Application Information
To review your application, determine eligibility for relevant pathways, administer FIAD cohorts, communicate application outcomes, administer assessments, and consider you for relevant future opportunities where applicable.
5. Sharing of Information
FIAD does not publicly display your resume or supporting documents simply because you apply.
If you are matched to a specific opportunity with an AI company client, relevant parts of your profile — such as your verified expertise area, evaluation results, and professional background — will be shared with that client so they can assess fit for the opportunity. Your raw resume and supporting documents are not shared with clients by default. You will be told before this happens and may decline to proceed with that specific opportunity.
Beyond this, information may be accessed by authorised FIAD personnel or trusted service providers supporting FIAD's operations, as described below.
6. Third-Party Providers
FIAD may use trusted third-party providers for authentication, hosting, storage, communication, security, document processing, and AI-assisted information extraction. These providers may process information as necessary to provide their services.
7. Data Retention
If your application is not selected or you do not opt in to the future expert network: your application data is deleted within 12 months of the decision.
If you opt in to the future expert network: your profile is retained until you request deletion or FIAD determines it is no longer needed, reviewed at least annually.
If you become a FIAD Vetted expert: your profile and assessment records are retained for as long as your account remains active, plus a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping and legal purposes.
Technical/security logs are retained for a limited period as reasonably necessary for security purposes.
8. Your Choices and Requests
You may contact FIAD regarding correction of inaccurate information, withdrawal of consent where applicable, deletion requests, or questions about how your information is handled. Some information may need to be retained where required by law or reasonably necessary for legitimate operational or legal purposes.
9. Security
FIAD aims to use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the nature of the information processed. However, no online system can guarantee absolute security. Users should also protect their account credentials.
10. International Processing
FIAD may use technology providers whose infrastructure or processing locations involve information being processed outside your location. Where applicable, FIAD will seek to handle such processing in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
11. Children
FIAD is not currently designed for children. Users should meet the eligibility requirements applicable to the relevant FIAD service, pathway, or opportunity.
12. Changes to This Policy
FIAD may update this Privacy Policy as the platform develops. The latest version will display an updated effective date.
